Reiki is a form of alternative healing therapy that originated in Japan. The word “Reiki” is a combination of two Japanese words: “rei” meaning universal or spiritual, and “ki” meaning life force energy. Reiki practitioners believe that this life force energy flows through all living beings and has the potential to promote healing and well-being.

In a Reiki session, the practitioner acts as a channel for the universal life force energy and transfers it to the recipient through their hands. As practitioner I place my hands on or near specific areas of the recipient’s body, allowing the energy to flow and balance within the recipient.

Here are some key principles and concepts associated with Reiki:

  1. Energy Healing: Reiki is based on the belief that imbalances or blockages in the flow of life force energy can lead to physical, emotional, or spiritual distress. By facilitating the flow of energy, Reiki aims to restore balance and promote healing.
  2. Holistic Approach: Reiki considers the whole person—body, mind, and spirit—rather than focusing solely on specific symptoms. It aims to address the underlying causes of imbalances and support overall well-being.
  3. Relaxation and Stress Reduction: Reiki sessions are often described as deeply relaxing and calming. The gentle touch and energy transfer can help reduce stress, promote relaxation, and create a sense of peace and tranquillity.
  4. Self-Healing: Reiki is not seen as a technique where the practitioner “heals” the recipient but rather facilitates the recipient’s self-healing process. It is believed that the energy received during a Reiki session can activate the body’s natural healing mechanisms.
  5. Complementary Therapy: Reiki is often used as a complementary therapy alongside conventional medical treatments. It does not replace medical care but can be used as a supportive practice to enhance well-being and relaxation.

If you are interested in receiving Reiki or learning more about it, I can provide guidance and support based on your specific needs.

Chackras

Chakras, derived from ancient Indian spiritual traditions, are believed to be energy centers within the human body. The word “chakra” comes from Sanskrit and translates to “wheel” or “disc.” It is thought that these energy centers are responsible for the flow of vital life force energy, also known as “prana” or “chi,” throughout the body.

There are seven main chakras, which are aligned along the spine from the base to the crown of the head. Each chakra is associated with specific physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of an individual’s well-being. Here’s a brief overview of the seven chakras:

  1. Root Chakra (Muladhara): Located at the base of the spine, it represents stability, grounding, and physical vitality.
  2. Sacral Chakra (Svadhisthana): Positioned in the lower abdomen, it is associated with emotions, creativity, and sexual energy.
  3. Solar Plexus Chakra (Manipura): Located in the upper abdomen, it is related to personal power, confidence, and self-esteem.
  4. Heart Chakra (Anahata): Positioned at the center of the chest, it governs love, compassion, and emotional well-being.
  5. Throat Chakra (Vishuddha): Situated at the throat region, it is associated with communication, self-expression, and authenticity.
  6. Third Eye Chakra (Ajna): Positioned in the middle of the forehead, it represents intuition, wisdom, and spiritual insight.
  7. Crown Chakra (Sahasrara): Located at the top of the head, it is associated with spiritual connection, higher consciousness, and enlightenment.
